Jaime Smith felt that way too, for years. But instead of waiting, he just started showing up in the ClickFunnels Facebook group and helping people for free.
He'd been a web developer since 2000, so whenever someone in the group needed a niche feature that ClickFunnels didn't have yet, Jaime built it, then gave away the code for free so anyone could install it.
He wasn't pitching anything or trying to sell, he just liked helping people out.
A few months in, he had close to 20 of these fixes built up, so he put them all in one place. A free members area, open to anyone and about 700 people joined.
That's when people started asking how they could pay him.
He turned them down, at least at first…
That free members area is what eventually caught Russell's attention, and it's a big part of why Jaime works at ClickFunnels today.
