You already know how to get someone to buy from you once.

That's the idea behind something our cofounder Russell Brunson calls the Value Ladder, from his book Dotcom Secrets.
It works like a staircase of offers, where each step is a small, easy yes that naturally leads to the next one.
Here's his classic example:

- Free teeth cleaning: gets the patient in the door.
- Whitening: comes up naturally during that visit.
- Braces or ongoing care: comes up after that.

Each step is worth it completely on its own, and each one naturally sets up the next.
Online, it works the same way, just different rungs:

- A free guide: gets someone in the door.
- A low priced course: comes next.
- Your main offer: after that.
- Something higher touch, like coaching: at the top.
|
Here's why it works.
Someone who's already gotten a win from your $10 thing is far easier to sell your $1,000 thing to.
That's because you've already delivered once.
You're not chasing new buyers for every offer. You're walking the same people up the same staircase.
So try this. Draw a staircase.
Put whatever you're currently selling on its rungs.
Then look at what's empty.
Most of the time, the missing piece is at the bottom.
A low risk, easy yes that gets someone in the door in the first place.
