Is giving your website visitors more choices making it harder for them to take action?
It may feel helpful to give people links to your About page, blog, pricing, and social profiles.
But when you want someone to take a specific action, too many choices can send them in circles.
Think about the difference between a website and a funnel.
A website says, “Here’s everything you might want to know.”
A funnel says, “Here’s what to do next.”
Imagine a photographer who wants to book more mini-sessions.
On their website, someone might browse the portfolio, read the About page, check the blog, and eventually find the mini-session offer.
A focused page puts the mini-session right in front of them and gives them a clear way to book.
The offer is the same, but the path is much easier to follow.
We’ve seen this in our own tests, too. Pages with no menu and one clear action beat versions with full navigation on both desktop and mobile.
So ask yourself: what’s the most important action you want visitors to take?
If it’s booking a call, buying an offer, or signing up, give that action a page built around it. Keep the information they need and remove the links that distract them.
And that’s the whole reason ClickFunnels exists: to give every visitor a clear path toward becoming a customer.
